Human Treadmills Will Not Work
Saturday, June 21st, 2008So you have recognized the benefits of having a pet treadmill. Pet treadmills enable you to walk your pet regardless of weather, time of day, injury, time constraints and many other reasons. However now you are at the stage of debating whether you should buy a dog treadmill or simply try and get your dog onto your own treadmills. Well trying to get your dog onto a normal treadmill is not a good idea.
- Dogs generally require longer treadmills as their gait is much longer.
- Humans Treadmills may be unstable, your dog needs a stable treadmill to avoid the feeling of falling.
- Human treadmills have shock absorbing qualities that dogs can’t handle.
- Human treadmills aren’t built for the piles of dog hair that will get stuck in it.
- Dog treadmills are specifically built for dogs to feel safe and comfortable, they have side enclosures to make the dog feel safer.
- It is much easier to get your dog to use a dog treadmill than a human treadmill.
